Retro color stripe

It's May already but the weather still sucks! I can't wait to wear something more light weight and colorful instead of black cashmere with long boots all the time. Going through some of my other friends' blogs made me crave for a perfect maxi dress like crazy! I've been searching and searching for the Ms. Perfect maxi for days now, and finally found this double layers dress from ASOS that barely met my standard. Apparently, the length is not long enough, but will do the job for now.

Sunday nite blast

Last Sunday nite, we went to this movie screening of VAMPERIFICA, a dark comedy vampire movie that he worked as a keygrip during last summer. The movie is so GREAT! It is very bloody and graphic but funny! I really enjoyed watching the movie and i am very proud for the wonderful work he did!

here is the link of the trailer if anyone is interested:

feminine yet boyish?

It was hard for me to imaging myself as a pink person since I was always so afraid of wearing things that look too feminine. Well, never say never.  Blush pink is back in this spring! Few months ago, my BFF helped me got this pale pink leather jacket from GAP. I was desperately wanting to put it on ever since! The soft lamb leather of the jacket feels like butter! Now I am matching it with a pair of gold khaki casual pants to add a bit casual touch. The PRADA flats I was wearing were just an impulse purchase from Saks but turned out to be one of my favorite shoes!

New York, the city that wears black

In New York, black is the MUST HAVE color in your wardrobe. I guess it’s because the color is very subtle and easy to blend in the crowd. Especially I am feeling lazy and don’t know what to wear for the day, black is the definitely the best choice.

The key item of today's outfit is the Alice + Olivia fox fur collar cardigan. I first saw it in Saks and felt in love instantly with its rich black cherry color fur. Sadly they were totally sold out in the small sizes so I went home and grabbed it right away from the NM online that night. Its definitely one of my best buy items of the season!!! I was wearing it a lot during the winter and even now in this late spring! The fur collar is detachable and the cardigan itself is very thin and soft, I can easily layers it with other cashmere cardigans, blazers, or even winter coats!  Plus its drapery design in the back is very unique which gives this piece more personalities.

Less is more and more than ever!

The weather really became strange these days. It’s almost the end of April but spring has not yet arrived. Luckily the weather had warmed up a little bit, so I finally got a chance to wear these outfit I’ve been waiting for a while to take them out from my “ waiting to be wear” closet. The chunky knit sweater has this fun boxy cut that goes perfectly along with the camel twisted knot skirt which I also got it from Gilt. Unlike the busy vibrant colors, these warm earthy hues are just more subtle. Plus its feather light weight material is perfect for this chilly late spring.
